Bday
It's A___'s birthday! Officially it is in 6 minutes but by the time I get done and posted, it will be the birthday.
As usual, I am having a gift buying conundrum - pay for half his campus parking pass or buy a memory thing reader (I'm so tech savvy) and other, um, toys. Guess he'll have to wait to see which one I decide on tomorrow.

HAPPY BRITHDAY, A.
(nice hair doo).
I just read your word of the day "windbreaker".
LOL.
My mum used to say, "Right! Who broke wind?"
I guess that would make the guilty person, who mum was trying to pin the smelly crime on, a windbreaker, where I come from at least ...
Ahh, fun and games in the cracks where all the varied native English usage gets caught ...
Yep, my dad used to use that term too, and was a big fan of puns. Hence, no one ever refered to a jacket of any sort as a "windbreaker" in my family lest we risk leaving ourselves open to dad's strange adoration of a good pun. And no one hates a pun like a teenager.
I've often thought of this association since though, especially when I hear people I think are jerks refer to a "windbreaker". Yeah, you go put that on buddy. I'll be over here....wayyyyy over here.
I'm hearin' ya.
!
I dont know what we call those jackets here ... parka I suppose. Not nearly as much fun.
