Around Christmas 1995 a friend came to visit me in my newly married, presumably happy, life in Michigan. We went to a museum where we saw an exhibit of a Japanese tea room. Outside the display was an attempt to describe this exhibit. It started with something like: “Within the tea room, one feels loneliness which penetrates into the marrow of one’s bones...” and ended with the caution “Please do not enter the tea room”. I laughed out loud. If you don’t get it, you probably should leave.

Hmmm, I keep waiting for more, but I guess the fact that yu have a migraine is exactly enough for today. When you feel better, let me know what that picture is.
Probably a brain synapse or something, but to me (here you go, rorschach) it looks like a roller coaster.
Feel better, babe.
No it's not a synapse. It's the aura I get with my migraines. The picture I used is from a fourth of july sparkler waving shot. It's a fairly accurate representation of what the pre-migraine visual hell I get...except mine is all twisty and windy. It usually is in my left field of vision, often in just the left eye, but sometimes in both eyes. When it gets big enough, the pain starts. Yesterday was different in that I had a whole head migraine with these ungodly stabbing pains, plus pins and needles in my hands. The pins and needles got bad enough I made an er visit. Which was stupid b/c all they wanted to do was push narcotics. Oh modern medicine. You'd never know we had things like ct scan and such. Anyhow, the headache is mostly gone (still feeling a little shitty but that's probably left over pain med - toradol, and nausea med - phenergan) but my hands are still tingling. Which is apparently nothing at all to worry about.
It's shit like this that makes me want to have a slappy fit on some doctors. I want an answer and all they want to do is push drugs and get you out the door.
sorry about your migraine...glad you are feeling a little better.
